Class description:
In this class you will make a large Retreat Bag designed by Emmaline Bags. It is a large zippered pouch with a wide open mouth.
The Retreat Bag is a simple zippered pouch with a wide base and a wide structured opening. There is a casing in the top where you insert two wire frames (one on each side), which helps it stay open when open, and helps turn the corners down when closed. It has two optional slip pockets inside and a long zipper that helps it open wide.
Required Materials :

- Style B Bag Frame Set
- 1/2 Yard Exterior Fabric
- 3/4 Yard Interior Lining Fabric
- 1 yard Light weight Interfacing (SF101 or similar)
- 1/2 Fusible Fleece Interfacing (TP971F or similar)
- 22" Zipper
- Coordinating thread
- General sewing supplies (ie: scissors, machine needles, seam ripper)
- Zipper Foot
Optional Materials:
- fabric marking pen
- glue stick
Optional: Retreat Bag kits are available in the store!
Prep work: Pre-cut all fabrics and interface your pieces according to the instructions in the pattern. This will allow us to start sewing right away!
